Ross Flynn is a former truck driver, musician, mover, and family counselor turned lover of all things cybersecurity. He has had a broad career spanning risk advisory, compliance, incident response preparation, business continuity, audit, and pen testing. Two things sparked his journey into offensive security: Open-source intelligence and Wi-Fi hacking. Falling in love with both, he has spent his career in search of new techniques and deeper understanding, while finding ways to incorporate each into all aspects of his career.
Ross holds his CISSP, CISM, CCSK, and CEH, along with earning a Black Badge at DEF CON 30. He currently serves as the founder of Black Bison Cyber, co-founder of Maestros’ Sauce Co, Principal Strategic Advisory Consultant at CrowdStrike, co-host of the Cyber Idiots Podcast, and on the Boards of Directors for ISACA Pittsburgh and Fathering.me. When he has free time, you can find him reading about space, learning Japanese, or recording in his studio.
